Does anybody make a knapsack _frame pack_ for a laptop (15")? The frame pack is needed to keep airflow over my back. Sometimes I have to carry the thing to a restaurant where there is high speed internet, say when Microsoft upgrades IE7.0 again with one of their massive cumulative updates, and dialup takes too long given that I go by the place every day anyway. -- Ron Hardin rhhardin@mindspring.com On the internet, nobody knows you're a jerk.

It was great, as you didn't get your back all wet with sweat while hiking. I think you can probably still get such a pack in Switzerland, but not here.

Could you use the frame pack you probably already have, and one of these computer adjustable packs to protect the laptop? http://www.jandd.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=FCAP (I use this pack in conjunction with regular panniers.)

I carry my Laptop to work daily in a laptop sleeve which I put in a pannier with a few other miscellaneous items (spare tube, rain jacket, spare gloves, first aid kit). The other pannier holds my office clothes, shoes, lunch. etc. Richard B.
