This incident highlights the usefulness of dual suspension for bike
bombers:

Evidently it is unwise to depend on the civil authorities of Punjab to
maintain their roads in good condition. For other aspiring bike
bombers may I suggest the smooth pavements of Phoenix, Arizona and
Orlando, Florida.

No, it was a bike bomb not as in "pipe bomb", but rather as in "donkey
bomb":

Maybe there is something in this suspension fad after all

Still they'd all be alive and merrily planting explosives, if they had
been wearing helmets :)

Before I opened the article, I was thinking they'd packed part of the
frame with explosives or some such.

Perhaps they should have obtained the services of a more adept chemist.

Nasty stuff improvised explosives. I suppose it's no surprise the
people who make them are rarely the ones who use them.

A witty saying proves nothing, but saying something pointless gets
people's attention.

Those should probably be included in the Wikipedia entry for "poetic
justice".

I'm thinking NYC - they wouldn't make it two blocks before
self-detonating in one of the moon-crater pot holes.
