Subject: Brazing on rack mounts?

I have an 80's steel Nishiki converted to single-speed/fixed that I was thinking about using as a rain/beater/commuter. It doesn't have braze-ons for racks or fenders. I see that the braze-ons themselves are pretty cheap (~$10 total for the parts). How much would I reasonably expect to pay someone to braze them on for me? I'm not concerned about aesthetics, at worst I could spray paint later.... -alan -- Alan Hoyle - alanh@unc.edu - http://www.alanhoyle.com/ "I don't want the world, I just want your half." -TMBG Get Horizontal, Play Ultimate.

Any bike shop or engineering, or welding outfit will do it.

I suppose I could investigate local welding outfits, but that would be a lot more trouble. I guess I'm stuck with using clamps or getting a seatpost rack. -alan -- Alan Hoyle - alanh@unc.edu - http://www.alanhoyle.com/ "I don't want the world, I just want your half." -TMBG Get Horizontal, Play Ultimate.
