Hi dear Cyclists:

I would like to share a report from the cycling ride: Mexico City -
Tecali de Herrera - Tepexi de Rodriguez (Puebla, Mexico), made last
Sunday.

I would kindly suggest you having a look at the photos of: a
Franciscan Ex-Convent in Tecali de Herrera, the church of Tepexi de
Rodriguez, a saguaros forest just before Tepexi, the churchs of the
towns along the route, and the climbing to the Llano Grande summit.

If you would like to read the report, or just see the pictures
(available under the link: "Photoset Show"), please access the
following direction:

I carry no cargo, riding ultra-light, i.e. the infamous credit card
touring

So for me: a really heavy and slow option

[For the record, I carry only: a plastic jacket, tools for one tube
change, camera, GPS, micro-tripod, 1 liter of water, no food. All this
is carried in frame and handlebars bags. No need for panniers and
racks]

Not much slower climbing than a loaded upright touring bike, since in
both cases the cargo outweighs the bike or trike.

> but funny, anyway :-)

And a lot more comfortable to sit on, and relaxing to ride, since there
are no balance issues.

Hi Ken:

I am using a digital reflex camera (dSLR), a Canon Digital Rebel

I know it is a lot heavy for cycling, but heck, I just got tired of
the small sensor of the point and shot cameras. In fact, I would like
to use a 5D Canon full frame camera, but the thought of breaking it in
a fall just make me nervous :-)

Yes, I guess sometimes I really do like taking shots of clouds. You
know, they are an integral part of landscape, aren't they ? :-)

And about the bicycle: why should I take it off from the composition ?
Isn't she beautiful ? :-)

Thank you very much for your insightful comments and for watching the
photoset.

Greetings

Wow! Thank you for sharing this trip report. I watched the entire photoset
and enjoyed it. You do seem to like shooting clouds, no? What kind of
camera were you using on this trip? Just a thought...once you get one pic
of your bike composed in a shot (to prove you were there?), you might try
parking it out of the frame.
