Primarily because I'm just trying to help her. Her husband obviously
has not the balls to tell her to shut the f**k up, and she needs to
learn that not all men are that way.

Yes, I'm sure that must be it. How selfless of you.

Gee, that was charming. No wonder you hate women -- they obviously can't
stand you (and for good reason).

You guys should get a room, padded.
Claire's posts are often a break from the silly arguments on here.

I agree with Ozark. I find Claire's posts to usually be fatuous and
irritating. I don't care how long she has been a member of the group;
if she has nothing important to say, she should just remain quiet.

I'm trying to recall anything you've contributed other than political screed
and Claire-bashing. If her stuff doesn't interest you, don't read it. If
she really annoys you (after all, she's a woman and you obviously hate them)
(and vice versa), then plonk her.

Problem solved, off you go...

I agree with Ozark. I find Claire and her trivial, nonsensical,
solipstictical posts to be rather irritating, and I don't care how
long she has been a member of the group. That's simply all the more
reason why, if she has nothing important to say, she should just keep
quiet.

OK, who's holding the gun to this guy's head and making him read every post?

But, in regard to the OP, I guess I'll have to ask "who's David Byrne?"

I get entertainment watching and discussing fantasy TV shows. You get
entertainment trying to make people feel bad. And you think *I* should be
embarrassed.

Well, for me, Byrne is in my city talking with the guy who is doing
the most to help NYC bikers. Those of us who live in the big city have
to deal with having our bikes stolen. Any publicity that helps focus
on that little problem is important.

I'm thinking of buying a nicer bike for commuting, but I have to limit
the expense to $300 to $400 because more than that I really don't want
to have to replace. That sucks.

We need indoor bike parking. We need a law that we can bring our bikes
into commerical buildings. Right now, my work building bans bikes, so
I have to leave it outside. I could bring it right to my office
otherwise.

I've also saw a few Talking Heads shows back in the late 1970s. They
were great. So here's a post that mentions a band that I like and an
issue of importance to biking.

Thanks for posting it Claire. And thanks for your other posts as well.
You always brighten up my day.

Dave

David Byrne still has cool hair, that's enough for me.

Ok, ok, if that's not enough for you, he's a well-known guy in another
field, who has been pretty active in supporting bicycling causes where he
lives. I think that helps bicycling in general, so it's too bad that his
bike was stolen.
