Didn't Discovery announce that this was their last > year several months ago? This was Discovery's last year as sponsor but know one new it was the last time for the team.

I'm not sure that's a compliment, though. I'm not naive enough to believe that the peloton is drug free but if you're going to list "questionable riders" I think it's only fair to add a category to include the biggest question mark in professional cycling- WADA's sloppy testing procedures and that agency's apparent lack of interest in enforcing their own rules regarding confidentiality and professional standards. I'm all for banning riders that break clearly written and reasonable rules. At the same time I don't think anyone that disregards established lab standards for drug testing, leaks unverifiable lab results, or defends those that do should be connected with WADA in any fashion. Has Dick Pound discovered and fired the person that leaked WADA documents to the press two years ago or cut all ties to the lab that seems to lose almost as many samples as they manage to keep? Regards, Bob Hunt

Till they clean racing up and it has a perception of integrity, including the testing, there is not much reason to get behind it, whether you are a potential fan or a sponsor, so it certainly has to affect sponsors. Didn't Discovery announce that this was their last year several months ago?

So what's the count of former Postal / Discovery riders who are "questionable" or worse? Tyler Hamilton Floyd Landis Ivan Basso Contador (oh and that Armstrong guy) The above are, of curse, big riders who won big races. I'm not a big enough fan to keep track of those farther back in the pecking order. They were terrific about not getting anybody caught while they were on the team. I'm not sure that's a compliment, though.
