I could really do without a 10pm starting time though. Still, I get to save $2 with a bike helmet. There's a reason to wear one (no, no, no helmet war here). The Spiegeltent is a very odd thing and is only temporary; I biked past it a few times before going in to see what it was about. A sort of traveling theater in the round, made of wood and pretty cool looking. Here's the website: http://www.spiegelworld.com/. I think maybe Absinthe followed by the Ditty Bops might make an interesting evening. Too bad there's no $2 savings on Absinthe; that's $68.

One day they made 130 miles! Well, that's pretty good, but they are carrying nothing but hydration packs. They have a full sag wagon accompanying them.

They aren't publishing thier route or times, so kind of hard to ride with them. I also have thier bicycle calender for 2006.

The two women who make up the Ditty Bops are bike advocates. The first song on their debut CD was 'Walk or Ride', which was somewhat about deciding to ride a bike over driving a car. You can hear it at http://www.thedittybops.com/songs.htm . Their music doesn't appeal to everyone (whose does), but they do have a unique sound. --- John Knez
