For anybody who's thought about getting a bike computer, but doesn't
want to shell out the bucks, or whose kids want one, etc., I thought I'd
mention that Kellogg's cereals are currently offering a free cheap unit
for buying five boxes of their product. From the look of it it only
measures speed and odometer distance, but it may still be good for the
price. (No, I don't work for Kellogg.)

Sweet, something about cycling that's still inexpensive!

I've heard too much about interference to feel comfortable with a
wireless. If my road bike was pretty I might be more concerned, but I
can't bring myself to add weight and cost to decrease functionality
for aesthetics.

They make a functionally identical wired model that's about half the
price.
