From: "Brian" <brianarc@hotmail.com > Subject: Heeeere's Bender! Date: Sunday, May 13, 2007 7:21 PM In a previous "ramble, rant, groan, whine" (on bc.cycling)...I mentioned I was building another roadie as a commuter to replace Freddy Fender...called "Bender" He's finally finished. Bender started out as an Apollo ("by Kuwahara") sport 12 that had been stuck in a hedge at St. Cuthbert's church in North Delta early in March. Rear wheel was trashed and it was missing a couple of cables. I re-built the rear wheel, and swapped over some parts from Freddy. Mucho thanx goin' out to the good guys 'n gals at O.C.B. for the odds 'n ends and the new aluminium rim... Bender can be viewed at: http://brianarcweblog.blogspot.com/ (yes, that's my 'blog) B.

We'll see...the DiaCompe center-pulls from the previous incarnation did an excellent job...I don't know yet if these produce *quite* enough braking pressure with those levers They were good enough to easily maintain control down 116th. It's a longer, but gentler slope... B.
