OK, now we got to work on a holster that works for bikes. Having them neatly packed around the thighs make them particularly practical and ready to draw... http://www.findcoolclothes.com/products/small_photos/hellbentholsters.jpg Or perhaps we can make some attached to the helmet, the gun triggered by remote control from the handlebar. I wished they could be activated by thoughts and emotions, in which case I'd become very trigger happy.

Some were just getting too serious on this. Glad we brought it the levity it should have. Now we have to figure out the caliber and load that a Cyclist can wield without losing control. Of course, you will have to holster your Cell Phone to use it.

Not if you use my new, handy-dandy combination cellphone/pistol! When the safety is on, it's a uniquely- shaped cellphone (admit it... how many others have phones shaped like guns?); remove the safety and it's a semi-auto Colt 45! Earpiece located conveniently at the barrel end, mic below the trigger on the butt... pull to talk! I'm trying to get *all* mobile cellphone users to upgrade... the vision of someone driving and, instead of a cellphone, a pistol at their ear, gladdens my heart. __ Steve '06 FXDI KI5YG #0627 .

In heavy traffic, if I were to attempt to answer the cellphone I am quite sure that the herd would be thinned very quickly. I don't see many cyclists talking on a cell while riding. Maybe they clean up the mess before I can see it but I don't believe it's a wide spread problem.

Are you also including me when I am riding my rocket powered roller skates? Not to worry, riding something like that, a cell phone is the least of your worries.

Personally, middle jersey pocket is my favorite place. I can get to it while I'm riding and if I'm off the bike I can STILL get to it. The only downside is that the site wears a little hole in my pocket after a while. Mine is a short nose so it is fairly well concealed. A friend of mine used to carry a 9mm and keep it in his jersey pocket or shoved down the back of his shorts--with the butt sticking out in plain view.
