If you witnessed this crime, may I suggest that you call the police and ask them if they want you to fill out a witness report. There's no such thing as too much evidence, in either the criminal case or the civil one that the victim's family and the survivors had better file. Bill __o

I actually work at the hospital to which the victims were brought. I was in a patient room on the 5th floor (which overlooks the bridge), heard the crash, turned and saw the rider that went through the windshield. Well, you would hope so. Some jurisdictions now automatically charge you with vehicular homicide if you're driving drunk and kill someone. I have no idea if Wisconsin is one of those though. -- Dane Buson - sigdane@unixbigots.org "Caution: Cape does not enable user to fly." -Batman Costume warning label

Hell, she "only" killed a cyclist--they'll probably give her a pass and let her check into rehab with the stars... -- ie ride fast, take chances. As it happens, she was released on a $5,000 cash bond. The D.A. asked for a much higher bond as he considered her to be a flight risk, but the judge knocked it down to $5,000: http://www.postcrescent.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070703/APC0101/70703229/1003/APC01 -- John (john@os2.dhs.org)
