Subject: Schwinn "No Pressure" noseless saddle makes bike nearly car-comfy
|
I am amazed by how (finally) comfortable my bike ride is -- almost as cushy as a car ride now. Here's my best (so far) solution, after having spent 6 years of switching all kinds of saddles, seatposts, etc, etc: The Louis Garneau (LGD - Louis Garneau Designs) triple-thick bike shorts, Thudbuster LT (Long Travel model, 3" of claimed travel), and Schwin's "No Pressure" noseless (looks like a board) bicycle seat/saddle. Results: I no longer get fog-headedness after a ride, from my brain being bounced around, even though my bike's tire pressure is at 95PSI for flat-tire resistance. (Glass doesn't enter the rubber at 95 PSI - haven't gotten any flats for almost two years.) I've tried five noseless saddles prior.

That means almost every flat I've had for the past 30 years must have been imaginary! That's how long I've been using air pressures over 95 psi. And most of my flats seem to be caused by glass. - Frank Krygowski

Funny you should say that. I just completed a 5 hour, 64 mile hilly ride today on my good-old-fashioned Brooks B-7 with no pain whatsoever. Then ended up with a terriffic lower back pain (which is still bothering me) from the 90 minute drive home! - - Comments and opinions compliments of, "Your Friendly Neighborhood Wheelman" My web Site: http://geocities.com/czcorner To E-mail me: ChrisZCorner "at" webtv "dot" net

I did a 5-hour, 83-mile hilly ride on Sunday on my Specialized Avatar Gel with no back pain and no pain or numbness in any delicate areas. > Then ended up with a terriffic lower back pain (which is still bothering > me) from the 90 minute drive home! Funny how that works, isn't it? By far, sitting in an office chair, lounging in a recliner, or even simply lying in bed give me more back pain than riding a road bike. My back feels *better* after riding the road bike. -- Chris BeHanna ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Unrestricted-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =----
