Hi All, I've been bicycle commuting for about 1.5 years and two months ago purchased a Specialized TriCross for riding to work and road rides. I've gone through many saddles and so far the best one is the Specialized Alias. For the past 3 months my sitbone on the left side shifts, drops or pops when pedaling. I'm not sure how to describe it but it's like sitting on the edge of something and when I pedal it falls off. Sometimes I can shift around and it will go away and sometimes after riding long distance (over 20 miles) it seems to get a little better. I've also have tried three or four bike shorts and just regular shorts to make sure it wasn't the padding. Does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be? Thanks, Paul

Problem now solved though, right back to my former mileage from 20 years ago. I bought a recumbent trike http://www.catrike.com/road.htm Don't fight it. Come in from the cold (pain). Try the trike he hissed.

Besides the saddle, have you considered that there may be a fit asymmetry problem? You're frame or fork might be out of alignment. If you have clipless pedals, are you sure they're set right for both feet? Heck your handlebar might be crooked. -- Dane Buson - sigdane@unixbigots.org X windows. Power tools for power fools.

I suppose that's possible... It seems pretty unlikely though. Though, it could be asymmetrical legs. That seems to be a fairly common issue. -- Dane Buson - sigdane@unixbigots.org The notes blatted skyward as they rose over the Canada geese, feathered rumps mooning the day, webbed appendages frantically pedaling unseen bicycles in their search for sustenance, driven by cruel Nature's maxim, 'Ya wanna eat, ya gotta work,' and at last I knew Pittsburgh. -- Winning sentence, 1987 Bulwer-Lytton bad fiction contest.

I was thinking that at first too. But for a week I used my mountain bike with the Brooks Aero saddle and had the same problem. Sometimes it would be worse. I can ride one day and it will be ok, just shift a little and it goes away. Other days like today no matter how much shifting its always there.
