All,

There is a new web based group ride calendar site a
riding buddy of mine wrote that is available on the web at
VeloCal.org. It's similar to ClubMTB or ClubRoadie
but this one is free.

We had been riding with several "buddy" groups that
were getting kinda large so when ClubMTB started charging
$$ we weren't able to use that service any longer, plus we wanted the
ability to see all of our groups on one joins several groups
calendar etc.. Another cool feature is that it allows one also one to
RSVP to a ride with either (Yes,NO,Maybe + a comment field). Anyway, we
like it so much we figured that we would let others know about it too.
Right now it only supports the 50 states in the USA.

FYI,

-Steve

A nice idea, but -- what's your privacy policy, and why isn't it on your
registration page?

Hi Matt,

Good Point! This is really just a grass roots tool that was designed
for folks to use that would help facilitate group rides. That being
said, we didn't really think about a privacy policy, but we will try and
post one soon. Like I stated before this was written by a friend not
a corporation so those of us who are using it never really considered
that this info would be used for any other purpose. I'll just say for
the record, that the info won't be sold, given away etc. Hopefully,
soon we will try and cobble together some sort of privacy statement to
that effect and post on the www site (http://velocal.org/).

Thanks again for the suggestion.
