Subject: Who is more disruptive to a group?
The troll who submits an antagonizing post to a newsgroup?

Or the fools who reply to it thereby keeping the thread at the top of
the board?

(And giving the troll exactly what he/she wanted?)

It appears you are easily antagonized. I consider all newsgroups to be
permanently disorganized and disruptive. Actually, the concept of the group
does not even exist since there is no loyalty to it whatsoever. Mr. Tom
Sherman of ARBR taught me that much at least a couple of years ago when a
criminal vandal troll showed up and destroyed the so-called group.

They are not fools if they reply to the substance of what is being said.

> (And giving the troll exactly what he/she wanted?)

I NEVER care whether anyone responds to me or not. All that matters is that
I cram my thoughts down your dense brain.

The latter. Trolls are few in number, and I don't miss anything by
killfiling them.

Agreed; from a practical standpoint, if a newbie reader sees something
inflammatory posted which receives no responses, the assumption is
generally going to be that the regular participants disdained noticing
it on purpose for lack of merit. Yes, there are exceptions to this,
and I've met a few; there are also people who believe the stuff in the
superket checkout tabloids, but their lack of clue does not impose
an obligation on anyone else to join in their mistaken beliefs or
actions.

I find, as well, that making troll kills global across all groups is
usually warranted.
