Isn't it time he found himself a team for 2007 and possibly a licence
? The last time I remember a major racer being teamless like this was
Jalabert in 2001 before he signed with Riis in what early early 2000 ?

dumbass,

when you're damaged goods (like garzelli, casagrande, vdb, hondo) it
means you have to take a step down to a shittier team if you want to
keep racing.

"Ullrich to Acqua & Sapone?"

How on earth does he think he can win the tour with a team like that,
well I guess Lemond won in 89 with no team, but the times have
changed. Maybe that's why he wants Sevilla to come along...BTW where's
Pevenage ?

Soap & Water is a Continental team. They'll get into the Giro,
but not the Tour.

As we've seen, a guy like Rujano can make the Giro podium with
a Continental team.

Ullrich is 33 next summer. His time has passed as a Tour
contender. He could make a statement in the Giro though.

Good point. In his latest statements he did mention the Giro too. And
possibly force an invitation to the TDF as a result ? Two tours is
tough, but if it's last season it doesn't really matter if he burns
himself out and he won't have to worry about the Tour of Germany ;-)
