It looks like they are going to have to euthanize all of them.: http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=212057 That should be 66 more dogs Vick is charged with killing since he created the situation making it necessary. In cycling Bonds would have been totally disgraced, unemployed, and untouchable but we've got the same "journalists" and "moralists" who are crucifying cycling supporting Bonds. This really blows IMO because Hank Aaron is such a totally class human being and did everything right to set this record. You want a role model for your kids and their lives Hank has no problem being it, and is incredibly worthy of it. Bonds is a total POS. Bill C

WTF are you babbling about? I know some "bores" that can put people out as fast as if they'd been shot. Deer are the ultimate free range cattle, rabbits and woodchucks cause massive damage for farmers, but I have no idea what this has to do with torturing animals for betting purposes. I thought stoning white, and other, women was pretty well confined to Islamic fundamentalists and I have no idea what that has to do with Mike Vick. Bill C

I think I can translate: Vick shoulda picked another hobby. If he really wants to deal with animals in life and death there's bigger, better game - or more numerous if he's afraid of anything his own size*. Or he could just take up other stereotypical hobbies of the particular ethno-social-moral-edu-cultural group to which he seems most perfectly attuned - one that unironically** self-identifies under an "N" word. *I'd refer him to Ted Nugent who said "Hell, if I just liked killing stuff I'd take up chicken farming." ** That "unironically" is an extremely important distinction. Anyway, this isn't a precise science. For myself, I don't know squat about the circumstances. I've avoided this as much as I have Lohan, Hilton and other trivial trash. Probably comparable to the ignorance of an ordinary American in re: the TdF. I'd be ambivalent if I cared more. Even if it's that obvious that he was in on it I'll continue to ignore it enough to not have a strong opinion about him until there's a verdict or plea. I want there to be strong evidence before he even loses his job. Would a plumber be fired for fighting dogs? Ron

Ron, The trouble with that scenario is that they definitely are not the same. A rather large percentage of the perceived worth of a Sports icon isn't solely their ability to perform in that discipline. I think it's safe to say the same cannot be said for a plumber. And I am pretty certain that as a part of their contract there is a behavior clause that would protect the team/NFL in some manner. So there *could* be some justification to simply handing him his hat and telling him to get lost. The fact that the NFL has directed him to not attend training camp seems to imply that at least there is some concern at the top that probably overrides the action that would have been taken by the team. But even with all that said I think that having him not play, but still be paid until the conclusion of his trial is reasonable. The real comedy in all of this is that what is likely to do him the most damage isn't the cruelty to animals or dogfighting charges. But the gambling is something that the NFL takes a very dim view of. But I'd still like to see him rotting in a Federal Pen for 6 years. Perhaps some badass would make him their "bitch" - That would be justice. The bright spot is that the Feds don't indict unless they have an excellent case. And after poking the anthill a few times probably more witnesses will come forward. Regards Bill
