"I think it is a bit complicated, but I just hope they keep him because for
me he is one of the best team-mates that I have ever had," he said. "For
sure, I want to keep him. I am really happy that they got Popovych, for me
that was certainly my first pick, the first rider that I wanted them to
chase. But all I asked was for them to get Popovych and to keep Chris. There
were a few other small things, but considering the Tour [result], that was
all I asked for.I don't think it is too much to ask."

Sounds like Cadel's been pretty happy with Chris. Wonder if it will make a
difference (how much the team will be willing to pay to keep Chris) that
Cadel won the ProTour standings? I wouldn't bet against Cadel in the '08 TdF
if he had a strong team working for him.

Horner is asking for $250k I think. That seems reasonable for a rider
of his class and experience.

There are guys making more $$$ that bring less.
