Excuse me, Bill.

Bill C is scheduled for knee surgery this Thursday.

Hoping all goes well, and for a speedy recovery! --D-y

Actually site king IS standard and appropriately required by
accrediting bodies in all hospitals / surgicenters today. For all
procedures with laterality, the surgeon must initial the correct side
with the patient awake. Another set of time out procedures is mandated
in the OR after the anesthetic is induced to reconfirm patient,
procedure and laterality.
Just an FYI. Best wishes to the patient.

Really appreciate all the kind words and good wishes. Really good news
too. It wasn't as bad as he was afraid of. ACL is knicked but OK and
the couple of tears were clean and easy to fix.
It was cool to be talking about whether he was going to be riding the
first training race of the year here, which is this weekend before the
surgery. A few weeks and I'm back on the trainer.
The damned thing felt better than it has in ages even a few hours
after surgery.

Actually looking forward to it at this point, and the surgeon is a
member of our club and a racer. So we are definitely on the same page.
He's also really good, which helps too. ;-)

Too bad that would be a good thing to do in many hospitals today.

Good luck and keep some Viagra handy just in case the nurse is hot.

Good luck. Here's a hint: before surgery, write "not this one -- the other
one" on your good knee.

Maybe now he'll use knee pads.
