1066 so the Froggies need to celebrate
But unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any events today worthy of
such an historic Battle

Syria and Iran are opening producing poison gas and arming long range
missiles with it and have been quoted in newspapers as advocating open
warfare with Israel.
Democrats have been working hard to distance the USA from Israel in order to
give the Arab nations the ability to attack Israel without chancing the USA
entering on the side of Israel.
With any luck, the first thing that Israel will do when attacked is to
assassinate every Democrat who voted to leave Israel to her own devices and
hence enabled the attacks which are going to be a great deal more deadly
than previous wars.

hey Tom, doesn't all that sound familiar? It was only a few years ago we were
hearing the very same crap about Iraq. Remember that big speech Colin Powell (who you
described as "a man of rather towering intellect" back then) gave at the UN? And do
you remember how all the grave things he warned us of turned out? Do you recall him
saying recently that that speech was something of a huge blot on his record?
