Ironman live tracking of all participants here http://www.ironmanlive.com/events/ironman/worldchampionship?show=tracker Jalabert is riding at 23mph, slightly slower than the best men. His swim took 1:15, transition 4mins. He'll probably pass the women leaders on the bike leg, they're going about 21mph. -ilan

Armstrong trained for the NYC Marathon for what, 4 or 5 months, maybe 6? Of course, if you insist on finding a reason to speak poorly of Lance, then go ahead. If not this, you'll find something else. Maybe you should see it for what it really is, not a sad comment on Lance but a grand comment on Jalabert.

I saw the coverage of Jalabert finishing Ironman, he didn't seem too relaxed, he sort of held up his arms briefly, then made sure to hit the lap button of his watch. -ilan

Jalabert 3 hours ten minutes -26.2 mi. (3:10:08) Armstrong - 2 hours, 59 minutes and 36 seconds. Sad comment on Lance

He was 15th in 35-39. He passed 1039 people in the bike portion and after 5.2 miles of the run is in 99th place. He was briefly mentioned then by former winner and current TV commentator Greg Welch who described him as "10th woman". -ilan

That means he gained over 20 minutes on most of them on the bike. -ilan

That means he will be televised on the Ironman webcast. -ilan
