Subject: Landis doping hearing
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Tour de France champion Floyd Landis's hearing before
the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) will begin on May 14, the rider's
spokesman Michael Henson said on Wednesday.

The French Anti-Doping Agency will begin a hearing on Thursday to decide
whether to ban Landis from racing there for up to two years, Henson added.
Landis, 31, tested positive for elevated testosterone to epitestosterone
levels following his victory on stage 17 of last year's Tour. The
Californian denies any wrongdoing.

If found guilty of doping, Landis faces a two-year suspension and the
possibility of becoming the first Tour winner to be stripped of his title.

Lawyers for Landis say the samples were mislabeled, the testing process was
unreliable and, in fact, the rider never tested positive.

Chung is trying to equate taking the train for a couple of hundred
kilometers to crazy lab results for Landis.

Question: If the lab makes the claim that they are accurate plus or minus
30% and the first test shows a t/e ratio of 4.5:1 (and as we know 6:1 is
common and natural) and the second test of the same sample is 11:1 - how
could this occur?
