What if...

PARIS, Fr. (AP) -- Just when it looked like bicycle racing would snatch the
spotlight from the cheaters at the Tour de France, Floyd Landis' winning
body failed inspection.

Landis, who won the world's best known cycling race last year, now will
start the 2007 edition of the race in 42nd place.

UCI inspectors said his nifty ten speed was almost an inch too low but
blamed it on a part failure -- not cheating. He was not stripped of the
victory.
