Subject: Pro Cyclist IQ's - It's greedy Lemonds fault we have doping
A thought on the Landis hearing and Lemond....

Here we are listening to guys who have GED's(Armstrong) and basic high
school educations, most likely IQ's in the same range as their VO2
Max. These guys are professional athletes. Of course they dope. If
they don't, their fallback career is the takeout window at Burger
King. See what happens when you send pros to the olymipics....

And we hold such high expectations of them when it comes to ethics and
staying clean....
Seems to me, the fans are the ones with the problem, not the
athletes. They are only doing what we are pressuring them to do with
high dollar contracts and sponsorships.

Also, wasn't it Lemond who started this trend of high dollar
contracts? Doping in cycling is his fault. If he hadn't been so
greedy, maybe the incentive to dope wouldn't be there?

Look at CritPro. He's over 30, no pro contract, and it's too late to
go to college and actually make a career for himself.

Look at NASCAR. Do you think pro drivers do EPO or roids? of course
they are.
Look at the USGA. How many pro golfers do you think are on
something? of course they are.

People who graduate from college become sheeple and don't realize that
you have to lie cheat or steal in order to reach the top.

Yes, and all have been implicated in lawsuits as a result of unethical
business practices....

OK, OK, Woz has been implicated as just embarrassingly stupid. And you
can't get sued for that. Or can you?

Depends on whether you test positive for SED.

People who don't drop out of college have higher standards of ethics?

People who don't drop out of college have a lower probability of being
caught.

Except for Lance Armstrong most or all the top American pros came from
background where they'd probably go to college (if they haven't
already) and get good jobs. Armstrong is so driven that even if he
did work at BK after cycling he'd probably end up owning a bunch of
restaurants.

I'm not as familiar with the personal lives of pros from other
countries so can't comment as much on that.

IQ is, supposedly, inherent, and I see no evidence that pro cyclists
are any dopier than the the general public with equivalent amounts of
education. And some of the guys seem very smart indeed.

Also, Tyler Hamilton as a college education.

So what you are saying is...... there is a positive correlation between
IQ and ethics. What the hell have you been sniffing?

I also liked his connection between education and intelligence. Strange -
most of the multimillionaires in the USA don't have more than a high school
education. Any guess on Cowpunk's yearly income? Can you say,
HAHHAHHAHAHAHA?

I know the futility of this before I ask, but do you actually have a
cite for that? No, of course not - another made up statistic/fact by
Kunich.

The fact is, most multimillionaires in the USA did it on the basis of
early and recurring savings and investments, not from some home run
hit through some start-up (ie, the correlation between income and
wealth is high, irrespective of inherited wealth, and the correlation
between income and education is high). The people with the income to
set aside regularly over a long period of time to make
multimillionaire status are the educated and they make up the vast
majority of multimillionaires in the US of A. Fact.

Further, the educated have fewer cyclical events that drain savings
and drain/end investments and those cyclical events tend to be
shorter, whether health (correlation between good health and education
is high and further, in the US of A, correlation between health
insurance coverage and education is high)) or job/business.

IOW, the correlation between health, income, wealth and education are
high and the majority of multimillioniares in the US of A hold at
least a college degree. Fact.

That 'strange' fact of yours? Well, made up facts tend to go that
direction. And Kunich, you are full of bullshit and tend to be way
short on facts, the real kind.
