Dude's form has improved juuuuust a little bit.... here is 2005, when
he should have been kicked out of the Tour for bringing the sport into
disrepute with one of the worst time trial performances in history,
wiping out four times if memory serves (or was it that many bike
changes?):

and now, shoulders narrower *and* back way flatter. (Or maybe it's all
the cow hemoglobin he is injecting.)

Looks like he was riding a pretty conventional front wheel (no deep
section!) which probably helped him stay up today, although it also
seemed like he was going around corners about as slow as any
noncontender today.-Shayana Kadidal

Interesting. You know, since my first post I've seen some shots of his
position yesterday that don't look very different from that photo of a
bruised-up Rasmussen in 2005. Maybe it's just the camera angle?

I am always surprised that more poor bikehandlers don't opt for more
conventional wheels in these stages. Sure looked like he did that
yesterday. Wonder what the aerodynamic cost is predicted to be for
swapping a tri-spoke for a conventional shallow-section rimmed wheel.
Analytical cycling geeks, any guesses?--SK

Correct, he spendt 4 minuttes of the bike durring that TT and lost 7:47
to Armstrong, 7:24 to Ulrich, and 5:41 to Evans. Counting out the time
he was off the bike i 2005 the distance between him and Evans was
1:41 in the 2005 TT. Interrestingly, yesterday the distance between
him and Evans where 1:40.

He also clearly had a beer gut in 2005.

LIVEDRUNK requires Danish beer reviews.

LIVEDRUNK is currently scheduled to experience the Heineken Beer
Experience, which is supposed to be a goofy tourist trap. Too bad.

LIVEDRUNK is hoping to divert that trip to possibly be a tour of the
House of Bols instead:

It appears to be even more impossibly cheesy than the Heineken
Experience, but with a cocktail theme. And while LIVEDRUNK likes good
beer, LIVEDRUNK really likes good gin, and thinks that Bols is better
gin than Heineken is beer.

Hm. I really hope they haven't actually replaced the traditional Bols
Blue bottle with this...
