Well, I think we can safely say that Moreau is toast. Either he's lost the plot
bigtime or he just didn't give a shit today. I was quite surprised at Valverde's ride
- he'll have a hard time making that up. Glad to see Vino put in the ride he did,
though.

I wish that Richards would have just taken goods to the authorities
when it occurred. There would then be no chance of it being one (or
two) people's word against someone else's. There would be a police
report and a chain of custody of evidence.
I'll be that he has thought the same thing since then (wishing it was
more substantiated) ... but its a fellow racer he probably had doubts
about trashing someone else's career (at the time).

No argument there. It is a witch hunt, but people like Rasmussen who
have attitude and visit someplace like Mexico (not that there's
anything wrong with that) give lots of fodder to the tongue waggers.
His bullshit comment about there being someone higher up out to get
him is bizarre. He's getting a public spanking at an embarrassing
time - that's all it is.
He has to follow the rules like everyone else...and learn to shut his
mouth. Or at least start posting on rbr so it would get lost in the
fog. :)

If I were him, I'd point out that he is not under suspicion for doping
but rather has merely been dropped from the Danish team for not
complying with their protocols for advising them of his whereabouts.
The Danes have taken his lack of cooperation as a sign of lack of
motivation and proper commitment to the national program and they'd
rather give his spot on the team to someone more committed to the
program.

Bitch and moan. He can't easily take the hard line he insisted on,
now can he? I mean ASO is a for profit company and the tour is half
over. He'd be cutting his own purse strings. Nothing will be done
until Rasmussen is out of contention. He'll either fall off his bike
seven times in the TT to beat his own TdF record and drop out of
contention, drops out because Menchov sticks a stick in his spokes or
has intestinal distress.
Rasmussen is a trash talker with a major attitude. He's made some bad
karma for himself and karma always wins.

The best option is to let him continue the race. Win it--and then get
disqualified. Then there can be the beginning of a streak of having no
winner for le Tour. In just a few more years of this nonsense "no
winner" will surpass LA's 7 straight and will be the new record holder.
