It must - didn't he recover at the side of the road in a Tour once, between
the time he quit and just before one of his teammates decked him?

I had the idea that that team was really doping heavy and that Iban was
having pretty bad reactions to the stuff. Remember that old guy on the same
team telling everyone that he didn't need to train - and then he went on to
win a mountain stage?

Yeah, that's the guy. No one wins mountain stages in the Tour without
training. Yet that was his claim - that he ignored the training schedule
given him and did whatever he felt like. Note that he never looked very good
again. That's sort of the hallmark of a doper.

If memory serves that was in 2001 a few days after the Meribel ITT
that LA won and of course a day after the "killer look" on the Alpe
after LA whined all day long to fool Ullrich and his team, and if
memory serves Livingston was doing some hard work for Ulle...

It's been established that having lots of hair and no significant recent
victories is proof of the cleanliness of the rider. So, no, that doesn't
help recovery.

Lots of hair == No steroids == slow recovery

It's also illuminating to consider the weight of the fully developed
mullet in your analysis.

But I'm nitpicking, your math here stands up better than any presented
in RBR over the last 5 years. Well presented.

I'd say no, but the mullet does help with hangovers.
