Hmmm... Having no spectacular doping to confess, maybe I can be in the
running for most spectacular gear change. I push the levers and buttons
with great finesse.

I was watching the uphill prologue time trial at the 1984 Coors
Classic and this rider comes up the hill on the big ring, in a
ridiculously large gear, struggling. Some guy, I think he director,
scream at him and he sits and shifts to the little ring.

Is that a spectacular gear change?

No, that's a decisive gear change. Spectacular would be David Millar
with no fder.
