Full screen live video of todays stage with real time stats on current
speed, average speed distance etc.
Wicked cool Flash app (Adobe Flex) so likely not for the Javascript
haters etc.
You can flip from the video to map details (zoom in out) and that throws
video into a small box, can also close up all the widgets etc...

Yeah the information flow, and commentary, was pretty sketchy, but at
least they followed to Motor Ref rule "Go with the money".
Not that anyone cares, but that was nice work by the motor just
behind the break. I KNOW he was shitting himself and planning a safe
way out that didn't effect the race when the field was getting that
close. To his/or her credit they stayed right in position to watch the
sprint.

I had good sound and video today, I was using IE 6.0 with all the latest
patches. Yesterday about 30 - 45 minutes before the finish the I was
getting a little sound and a little video every once in a while. Also,
today the sound and the video weren't in sync at the end. We watched them
finish then they called the finish about 30 - 45 seconds later, the day
before it was just the opposite. IE 7.0 on my laptop kept crashing on me.

If they can ever get this technology down, like by getting IP multicast
working on the whole Internet, it will rock. Having all that information
right at your finger tips is incredible. Robby was asking what the results
would be in certain situations and I was able to work out the scenarios
quicker then they could. Of course I wasn't worried about keeping the
commentary going either.

You can definitely tell the difference between the moto camera experience
between the TdF and the guys over hear. You don't see nearly as many
close-ups of the groups and the sky in July and they switch it up the shots
better between the breaks and the peloton. Like today we had no idea that
the break out front was that close to being caught, if the race had been
another 2k those guys would have probably been caught, but we had no idea
until the last minute or so.

Now all they need to do is getting running form a site that has more
bandwidth, the sound and video were dropping out like crazy yesterday. But
for free it is tough to complain.

Now that you've announced it here it will probably be even more crowded with
people.

The video is decent (for what it is) but I don't get ANY sound.

Not sure if I want sound anyway, but just curious is this a bandwidth
thing, or a java settings thing?
