Subject: Time to storm the castle

Isn't it high time the riders took things in their own hands, and try to
control the media attention? Not the usual sit-down in the middle of the
stage, which accomplishes nothing, but travel, en-masse, to Spain, and camp
out in front of the relevant agency that's been dragging their heels and say
enough is enough! No more racing until something is concluded. Take the
fight right to the source of the frustration.
It's ridiculous to have everyone else controlling their (the riders) fates
through the media. Have the riders stand up to the cameras and say, "Bring
it on." No more delays. No more racing until there's an absolute timetable
for determining who's blood is involved, and why. No more
politically-motivated "revelations" that just happen to occur days before
major events.

Remember that riders are terribly insulated from the world around them
since they've been doing little more than riding, sleeping and eating
since youth. The older and wiser men of the peloton have to start the
process until everyone else realizes why and how.

Yep - but as with the Unibet affair there seems to be no solidarity
amongst the riders. They no longer seem to bother if the competition is
taken out, whether fairly or unfairly.
