"Basso gets 2 years" But cn reports he can start up again October 24
2008. Didn't he race this spring (2007) in toc? When did the 2 years
start on this? Or is the Tour of Calfornia not considered counting as
a race by the FCI? Basso wants a reduction in the suspension but it
seems he got one.

I think they gave him credit for the latter part of the
2006 season that he was out of racing for. Resuming
in October 2008 means he effectively misses all of 2008,
plus part of 2006 and most of 2007. On the bright side,
he can race cyclocross in fall 2008. It's a great place
to start a clean racing comeback since everyone knows
there's no doping in cyclocross, just dopes.

That doesn't count. It was over in the colonies, where they don't do things
properly. And anyway, isn't it more of a parade?
