He's worried that Dick Pound's Nazi frogmen are going to sweep
his hotel room disguised as the maid staff and vacuum up any
stray beard hairs for preemptive retroactive testing.

[voice of paul sherwen] it's an old cyclist's wives ... er
grandmother's tale ... if a racer is planning on having a big day, he
won't shave that morning just to save that extra little bit of energy
that he might need later. [/sherwen]

that same thinking often prevents racers from rogering their
significant others the night (or morning) before a race.

That and the bags of blood hanging on IV poles are a huge turn-off for most
women.

Do you think he lets the legs go that long? Or maybe he spends all his time
shaving his legs and doesn't have time for the face?

i'm often surprised by how people show up for legal proceedings... when
i see footage or coverage of trials, people sit in the seats dressed in
slobby clothes like they were going to the local Safeway or something.
It's a court of law! Unless you're in the orange jumpsuit, show a bit of
respect...it just doesn't make you look good either if you're the
defendant and you look like you just rolled out of bed.
