Lampre reports they had a first team training ride. 165km in less than 5
hours. Wish I could average 33 km/h w/o sweating...

Don't be an ass. Haven't you ever heard of base miles?

It's not so much surprising that they're riding slowly now and will
race faster later. Hell, the very fact that they ARE riding slowly now
is why they can race faster later. Idiot.

It's especially awesome that we can just look at this web page and learn
the pros secrets so we can put them to use on our Saturday training
rides. I just want to know: am I the only one that feels a little tired
on Monday after they've removed the blood to use in next Saturday's
transfusion? What do the pros do about this?

That a collection of pro riders averaged over 20mph for not even 5
hours should not be that shocking.

That isn't shocking. What's shocking is just how bad some of us suck in
comparison.

Floyd Landis apparently did better than this solo on a training ride,
and for longer.
