http://www.velonews.com/race/int/articles/11452.0.html The new Stapleton ethos has traded the team's former "win at any cost" mentality for one founded on teamwork and competitive spirit. Rallying around the feel-good battle cry of "Die Mannschaft" - The Team - Stapleton is hoping his optimism is contagious. -------- If I had a frame with "Die Mannschaft" written on it, I'd throw my bike back to the team wrench and say get this Dickshaft shit off my frame. I don't need to be looking at gay porn when I'm climbing in the zone. And then, I'd say, "And where the fuck is my 800mL of blood that is supposed to be re-infused back into me in the hotel tomorrow morning after the vampires come - what kind of Pro Tour team are you people running here?" Maybe Stapleton will put a smiley sticker on the frame if a T-Mobile rider finishes in 87th place since that was his best effort. T-Mobile's pink matches their pussy. Thanks, Magilla

Do away with that too. Why not make a list of allowed drugs and procedures and let them dope to their hearts' content under a doctor's supervision? When the use of over-the-counter medications or too much coffee or an herbal tea causes positive dope tests, something is wrong with the rules. We'd have damn good racing and the riders' health would be better protected if we legalized, and regulated, doping. > I don't give a fuck that EPO is illegal and altitude tents aren't. Bicycles aren't natural either. You weren't born with one. Bicycle racing developed hand in hand with doping. In the late nineteenth century, doping was not considered unethical. The parameters of the sport practically require artificial enhancement of the human physique, to match the unnatural mechanical amplification of the human physique and capabilities that is the bicycle. From the first bicycle races to the present, drugs have been part of bicycle racing. The drugs used have gotten better and safer. Strychnine, cocaine, then amphetamines, now EPO, growth hormone and steroids..... Bicycling needs to return to its roots. Legitimize doping, as atheletic medicine. Thirty years ago the myth of amateurism forbade pro atheletes to compete in the Olympics, or even for a sprinter to receive money for training or a cash prize for running or an atheletic scholarship. Now NBA players and pro-cyclists all compete. Attitudes change over time. > It's easy to rationalize using EPO when altitude tents, altitude > training, nutritional supplements, TUE's for bronchodilators, etc., are > allowed. > > If you're going to be righteous about "Die Manschaft" then don't go to > altitude to train and get rid of the altitude tent. Training at altitude doesn't work. Living at altitude and training at sea level works well. The mile-high White Mountains in California and nearby Death Valley a short drive away are the best place on earth to train. > Don't apply for the > asthma TUE. That's why it's "Die" Mannshacaft." The "Die" is just to hide their closet cruiser lifestyle. "The Team" on their bike frame...that's about as gay as a $3 bill in a San Francisco bar. The Pro Tour should ban the entire T-Mobile from competing until it gets rid of this gay moniker. And the officials should force the team to tape over "Die Mannschaft" in Pro Tour races because it's damaging to the sport. I'll show you a real pro team - La Vie Claire - back in 1986 when Hinault and Lemond were badmouthing each other in the press and LeMond claimed the Badger and team management were trying to sabotage his Tour. I want my pro teams to have extreme internal fighting and negative gossip like this. I don't want them to all get along like some kind of gay bathhouse resort. Do the guys on T-Mobile feed each other at dinner too? I like it when my pro Tour teams have the top GC guy eating dinner in his hotel room because his teammates hate him, but ride for him anyway. I like it when the manager of a pro team gives negative quotes about the top GC rider in the press and then claims the rider won't return his phone calls. Besides, Barry already admits to using artificial means to increase his hematocrit - an altitude tent. EPO is the injectable form of altitude tents. So this little self-righteous attitude T-Mobile has adopted is just a semantical game that relies on manipulating loopholes and rules. They're just as artificial as the OP blood dopers. I don't give a fuck that EPO is illegal and altitude tents aren't. Both are 100% artificial and you either ban them both or ban neither. By allowing one and not the other you are sending the message that the rules are arbitrary, whimsical... and have no real substance to them. It's easy to rationalize using EPO when altitude tents, altitude training, nutritional supplements, TUE's for bronchodilators, etc., are allowed. If you're going to be righteous about "Die Manschaft" then don't go to altitude to train and get rid of the altitude tent. Don't apply for the asthma TUE. At least then I can take you somewhat seriously, even though you're still probably gay. Thanks, Magilla

Is too late for Julich to go back to T-Mobile? This could be his big break! Two questions... What does "transparent racing" mean? Given that Michael Barry and Aaron Olsen will be playing starring roles in T-Mobile's so-called rebuilding effort, and given that their nepotistic girlfriends (i.e., Deidre Barry and Kim Anderson) helped them grab T-Mobile contracts seemingly without appropriate qualifications, do you believe the pussyfication of the planet is on schedule?

The T-Mobile roster looks like a bunch of 56th places to me. Nobody gives a shit about this "Die Mannschaft" win clean stuff. This team is going to be as bad as its cell phone service. Thanks, Magilla
