Indeed, it's not a race, a very slow ride for the first eight to
fifteen miles (due to the logistics of 30K+ cyclists on one road), lots
of kids and families and groups and clubs, extremely slow with back-ups
and jams but great fun seeing so many fellow cyclists from nowhere!

Does this mean that people that aren't from NYC are from nowhere?

Yeah, over thirty thousand of us.

=)

You know you get a frontline pass if you ride 'bent! This organization
seems very 'bent-friendly.

Gosh, I'm in the neighborhood but haven't a clue about the particulars.
I probably couldn't get my 'bent ready by this weekend unless
someone's willing to loan me some V-brake levers, but I can probably get
my Bianci Boardwalk ready to go. Only a couple of gears work, but
that's probably good enough.
