Subject: Changing RANS threaded fork to threadless
Hi Bent friends,

I would like to change the threaded fork/headset on my RANS V2 to a to
a threadless fork/headset. How would I go about making the current
handlebar riser work w/the threadless fork? Would the original riser
be able to clamp over this steerer tube extender?
http://harriscyclery.net/site/page.cfm?PageID=49&SKU=SM1977 Looks like
it might have trouble sliding over the top cap. If so any other ideas
how to convert to threadless?? Any help greatly appreciated. Anj

If you turn down the lip of the top cap, the original riser should fit.
That's assuming everything is the same diameter- that extender fits 1
1/8" diameter forks and headsets only.
