I entered these cycling newsgroups about 4 years ago. The very first person I encountered was Tom Sherman. The first thing that immediately struck me about him is that his posts were perfect. I mean, there were no mistakes at all. I scoured his posts looking for mistakes, but here were never any. This unnerved me, but I decided I would learn from him. I believe my posts are now as good as any others on these cycling newsgroups. I am not quite the stickler for perfection that Mr. Sherman is, but that is not so bad either. The one other thing that struck me about Mr. Sherman is that he never admits to being in the wrong about anything - ever! I find this quite remarkable. Every other poster I have ever encountered on these newsgroups knows how to give an inch or so, but not Mr. Sherman. Is this a strength or a weakness? I am my own worst enemy and I do not take myself at all seriously. I just love to kid around with everyone and very often at my own expense. But does Mr. Sherman ever kid around at his own expense. I have yet to see it. Well, it is not possible for everyone to be Great like I am. Mr. Sherman is close to Greatness himself, but he needs to get some insight into his own foibles. It must be horrible to go through life without being able to see yourself as others see you. Sore Knee is at least somewhat civilized, and your posts are sometimes a bit much, but Brickston seems to have his life based on attacking me, personally. I write him off as a raving lunatic who escaped his straight jacket and found a computer. Bill Baka
