Yea, this will be my 11th and final farewell if and when I decide to take
it. The fact is that no one appreciates my genius. I bring something
precious to these cycling newsgroups but most of you are too stupid to ever
know it.

Just what do I bring to these cycling newsgroups anyway? I bring a critical
intelligence which if you had to pay for it you could not afford it. I let
the lot of you meander on like the children that you are and I only come
down on you when you become lost and go astray like poor little lambs. Yea,
I am the good shepherd who watches over you like the good Lord watches over
sinners.

If any of you had any brains you would dote on my every word. Instead, all I
get are brick bats. I am like Garfield sitting on the fence yowling my
glorious music and all you do is throw things at me. Hey, I will not be here
for all eternity, Yea, you will miss me when I am gone. All you will have
left is the likes of Tom Sherman who will bore you to death with his
freaking cycling crapola.

It would behoove you to appreciate me while I am here. When I am gone, you
can dote on Tom Sherman. It is a fate worse than death, but it will be what
you deserve.

TRANSLATION: My believability was undermined after I returned
following my 2nd through 10th "FINAL" farwells. The best I can do in
responding to JimmyMac is a repetitious, paltry copy and paste reply
because I cannot counter his valid assessment regarding my
demonstrated lack of credibility.

Everyone knows on these incredibly stupid cycling newsgroups that the Great
Ed Dolan is a law unto himself. There are pip-squeaks like you and then
there is the Great One like MYSELF!

TRANSLATION: I, Ed Dolan, cannot be taken seriously as I am not a man
of my word. In stating that this will be my 11th and final farewell,
the operative words are "11th" and "final". Although I am a retired
librarian, I never mastered the definition of the word "final" or I
would not have erroneously used the word in the same sentence with
"11th". The bottom line is that I, Ed Dolan, am just crying wolf ...
once again. I have no intention of ever depriving you of my
"grateness". I will leave ARBR when the Grim Reaper takes me. I can
conceive of nothing more fulfilling in life than to be an obnoxious
annoyance. Why else would my signature read ... Order of perpetual
Sorrows?

I think it would behoove me to prepare the Smithsonian for their
inevitable hosting of your valuable papers. Earlier is better!

About time. They were wondering when you'd get around to cleaning those
restrooms.

I will bugger off when I get god damn good and ready and not a moment
sooner. Where does a pip-squeak ferret like you get off telling me One so
Great as Myself anything? Try to remember your place in life, which is
infinitely below ME!

I urge you to ponder deeply on my signature at which point you will come to

Aww but ray - I'm new to this group and I've only just started having a
laugh at Ed the Ego! Now I'll just have to snigger at Dr. Mike "round
bicycles wheels are heretical" Vandeman instead. *sigh*

See you later, off out on the trails on my bike! :D
