I need ergonomic information & pictures about the headrest position,
distance to the head, angle, etc in a recumbent trike and bike.
Anyone have them?

A possible solution could be a soft neck brace, but it would be
uncomfortable in hot weather.

Tom Sherman - Here, not there.

I've got one on my M5 Shockproof.

I don't use it while riding, because it seems to affect my equilibrium.

If I were to try to eliminate the problem, I would try using a softball
sized inflatable ball under a cover for the following reasons:

It would allow me to roll my head about easily

This would also give it great adjustable suspension.

Maybe a flat headrest with a hole smaller than the ball would work.
