Subject: My Flag Mount project is complete
The day before yesterday the flag mount was delivered. It took an
amazing 4 days for the TRICE (ICE) flag mount to arrive from the UK. The
nice people at ICE drilled it out for me to 6.6mm and it fits the 1/4"
whip perfect. I mounted the whip today and it came out perfect. Here is
a link to the mount on my trike. It looks like it is touching the tire
but in actuality it is 1/2" away from the tire.

Glad you didn't have to sand the rod thinner Joel. My suggestion of
chucking the rod into a drill and sanding it while the rod was
spinning may have turned out a disaster! I use bright Be Seen flags
and so far I have just used old flag mounts- using a "Swiss Army
Knife" to get the rod started and tap it in.

The way the chain stays are on my trike the old fashion mounts don't fit
as the axle is set back about an inch or more. I used one on the seat
quick release, but it interfered with the rare rack and made a racket on
bumps. This new mount looks better and is easy to remove the flag when
transporting in the SUV. And since I am into BLING I like this much better!
