It's mostly kids that are always saying, "cool bike!" so why ain't
'bent-makers making 'bents for kids?

Come on, it's not really that expensive...you get these frames being
made in Taiwan or China -- you might even get someone in India or
Bangladesh to do it, really -- and you get a loan from the Small
Business Administration, etc.

That company Like-A-Bike ought to do a wooden safety-bent for toddlers!

Some bent designs are highly flexible. My daughter liked using my BikeE when
I got it. She was only 4 ft 10 inches then. The only adjustment was to slide
the seat forward.

Used BikeE's are pretty cheap since the company went under, so if you are
looking for a recumbent now for a child in that height range, this is a good
option.

They do, but you won't find many of them around. The typical buyer is
a parent looking at how the kid's going to outgrow whatever is bought,
so they buy *cheap*. Usually, that means cheap at WallyWorld or a
sporting goods big-box store. If there was already enough demand to
make it profitable to produce a $45 kid-sized 'bent, I suspect that
you'd be able to buy one.

Let's not forget the Green Machine.

I had one back in the '70's and remember liking it even more than my Big
Wheel, but for some reason I have never had any desire to ride a 'bent.

Because there's not much ket, for the most part, but I note that
Nazca make an "XS" version of the Fiero for folk up to 1.5m (just under 5').

I also note that "nothing is impossible for the man who isn't doing it
himself"... ;-)

Actually, the BikeE design was a good one for kids.
Very adjustable for rider size...

An upright bike for kids may be better for some things they
want to use it for,-- dirt riding, ramp jumping, etc..
