Do you know how many cats you have to have before you find the perfect cat? I mean a cat that loves you unconditionally and follows you around like a puppy dog. You merely look at the cat and it purrs like crazy. You have to have 20 cats before you find the perfect cat. You might think 19 cats might be enough, but no, you have to have at least 20 cats. Trust me on this, I have been around cats all of my life. Unless you have at least 20 cats, you do not know anything. Now perhaps some of you began to appreciate my Greatness. Yea, I am a world class expert on cats. These poor dumb creatures worship the ground I walk on. I think that is the least that the rest of you could do also. After all, I am just so Great (and you aren't). My cats prove how Great I am. As I sit here typing this they are all looking at me worshipfully - and so should you be too! I am not getting nearly enough deference from the denizens of ARBR. You do not have to worship me, but at least you should show me the respect that is due My Greatness. Yea, I not a god (not yet), but I am truly Great and a Great Saint besides. Please conduct yourselves accordingly when in my presence! Ed, An expert on cats should know this, but dogs are attached to (bond with ) their owners and cats are attacjed to (bond with) their owner's residence. With 20 cats in one house, your's could aptly be called a cathouse. Most of my cats seem to have scant regard for me and it is only by much cultivation that I can get any of my cats to respond to me personally. I dearly love dogs but, like kids, they are way too much trouble. Cats more or less lead their own lives irrespective of me. All that is required is that you feed and water them and say hello to them every now and then. But then rarely a cat comes along which acts like a dog, i.e., it wants to bond with me. That is the 1 in 20 cats I am talking about. But in any event, I have plenty of cats so they can bond with one another to the extent that they do any bonding at all. By the way, my house is not a cat house because I keep my cats in the back of the house, mainly the basement and the back porch. I have a very big house and there are rooms I have not been in for years. You get them one by one and before you know it - voila, you have more than you know what to do with! The main thing you have to do when you have this many cats is to keep separate the males from the females. If you don't do that, you will end up with 200 cats! Do blind cats get frisky at night? I do not have any blind cats, but I do have some that are quite feeble from too much inbreeding. I should have drowned them at birth, but I let them live. Now they are so pitiful I do not have the heart to put them out of their misery. Mostly, they just sit and look at me with their big sorrowful eyes and so I have decided to let them live. Just another reason why I am a Great Saint of course. Regards, Ed Dolan the Great - Minnesota aka Saint Edward the Great - Order of the Perpetual Sorrows - Minnesota
