I joined this group a couple of weeks ago because I am interested in recumbent bicycles. All I have seen so far is tons of drivel from an idiot named Edward Dolan. Eddie boy....if you are such an intellectual as you seem to think you are, why can't you find the appropriate forum for your comments? This is a group about recumbent bicycles not a group to expound on Edward Dolan. Go make yourself a group named Edward Dolan and have a ball! To the rest of you....just ignore him he will go away. Or better yet....is there a moderator? If so block his posts. As for me I have far better things to do with my time. I'm out of here.

So what does this have to do with the fact that I DID include the piece I was responding to. I can't help it if you use a poor newsreader or don't know how to use one. Its obvious you're still new to computers and how to read newsgroups. Envy is not even in the picture. It is morally wrong that a FEW who are GREEDY and WEALTHY cause so much misery in others. It is a "big lie" that a certain fraction of the capital class simply wants to make money to have more possessions - in fact they already make much more than they can spend. The issue (since the start of civilization) is that some want to have power over others. For them to "win", they mush make others lose. -- Tom Sherman Rationality, as the primary cognitive system for comprehending our world, has been rejected in favor of unyielding dogmatic belief. - David Michael Green

Anyone who spends as much time and energy bewailing the lot of the poor and excoriating the lot of the rich is motivated by envy and nothing else. You have more than enough to live on comfortably. Forget about the rich and get on with your life. The rich accumulate money because that is how you keep score. They are more to be pitied than envied. The rich are no different than you and I. They simply have more money. For example, Donald Trump is an asshole. Who would ever say otherwise. Would you want to be him? > Rationality, as the primary cognitive system for comprehending our > world, has been rejected in favor of unyielding dogmatic belief. - > David Michael Green I rejected dogmatic belief when I attained the age of reason, which I think happened when I was about 16 years old. However, for most folks dogmatic belief is a relief as thinking about things on your own is hard work. I do occasionally post recumbent related messages but it is rare since everyone else on this group is a moron and a scoundrel to boot. Why waste time on such miscreants? Mr. Sherman's love affair with the Sunset Lowracer is quite idiosyncratic. However, I must admit I almost bought one myself some years ago but I could never overcome the high price. So instead I got a WizWheelz and I have never looked back. More and more I have come to appreciate its low crank (the present ones have a much higher crank). The new Hostel Shoppe catalog has now come out and anyone but me notice how high the cranks are on all the short wheel base recumbents? Only RANS remains sensible to me. The Volaes all have way too high a crank - at least for my foot circulation. The only advantage of a high crank is the laid back seat position, which gives you the ultimate in comfort. But at what cost? Yup - foot numbness. Thanks, but no thanks. Regards, Ed Dolan the Great - Minnesota aka Saint Edward the Great - Order of the Perpetual Sorrows - Minnesota

Mr. Sherman is quite right about that! RBM is a MUCH larger group that ARBR. However, I knew from the get-go that it was impossible to bring down such a large newsgroup. RBM, like all the other cycling newsgroups, is mostly composed of idiots who are into nothing but chit-chat. Screw them all the way to hell and back! Ed Dolan the Great does not care about chit-chatters - and I will not allow it on ARBR. Either post some substance or get lost! I am here mostly for housekeeping chores. I do not want to see this newsgroup become a chat room for clubby types. I think maybe Gotbent and I might agree on this. Furthermore, I will stay off of politics if everyone else also stays off of politics. If you don't, then I will be here for you. However, I do like to comment from time to time on cultural matters and I will not ever object to anyone who wants to take me on in a civil manner. The only person on this group that needs to be filtered is old Dave Larrington himself. I don't believe he has ever posted any message to this newsgroup that anyone in their right mind would want to read. Why is that I wonder? Well, besides being boring and trivial in all of his remarks, I think he has become addled from all that beer he is constantly guzzling like the drunk that he is. He probably goes to the football games there in England and behaves like the thugs that the English have become. I think they call them hoodlums. I just call them White Trash.
