Subject: Sputnick of BROL is not riding RAAM solo
Hey team NoCom!
Which one of you is going to ride RAAM solo? You have to do a qualifier
of over 425 miles in 24 hours to be allowed to participate in RAAM.
The team ride does not need to qualify. Just show up and pay your fees.
Please enter solo sputnick of BROL and then it will be a showdown
between the lowracer and a dual 26 on an ultra.
My club is Great lakes Randoneers of Wisconsin. I await any lowracer on
any of our rides. Please come. I will be most likly on a DF bike and
maybe an Aero. I will beat you on either of those platforms in the
hills.
The NoCom will be fodder on our Wisconsin chipseal roads, bumps and
huge hills in the driftless area.
Please come I await you....

Or not.... %^P I'm not certain blurring the lines between
newsgroups and other sorts of online discussion forums
is a good idea. Consider the number of people who
thought Google should "do something" about the recent
flooding of ARBR with duplicate, trashy posts...

If they are going to have a web/Usenet interface, it should at least not
put the "reply" text in "quoted" format. That is just stupid.

The Velokraft RAAM team has real riders with extensive ultra
experience. I met two of them at the Tour de Palm Springs earlier this
month. John Williams (of Southern California, not the recumbent rider
by the same name from Oregon) was riding a VK2 and Tim Skipper was
riding a NoCom. It will be a very interesting recumbent team RAAM this
year. I think it will be a close race.

When is team NoCom going to do a RAAM qualifier?
Which one will ride over 500 miles in 24 hours?
I think the Ausse can do it on his NoCom but maybe he's chicken. Is'nt
the NoCom at least 20% faster than an Aero? So 600 miles for that Ausse
on that NoCom should be about right?
Of course he likes to brag on BROL! But of course the DF'ers are doing
over 500 miles on 24 hour events on there so called slow bikes.
Of course if team NoCom gets a real rider for one of there bikes 500
miles would be easy. Bacchetta has a real rider on the Aero. Team NoCom
should take note....
