Subject: Warning to the Group!

ARBR is still an unmoderated newsgroup. There are some who would like to
dictate how this group is to be run. In other words, they wish to set
themselves up as moderators and say who can say what where. Unfortunately
for them, that prospect only exists in their fevered imaginations. As long
as this group is unmoderated by general agreement, I will not permit any
others to dictate anything - period!
Do not play around with posts that are not your own. Most especially, do not
be moving them about from one thread to another thread. If you do so, you
will incur the wrath of the Great Ed Dolan and thus begin one of the longest
wars in Usenet history. As a former college librarian, I KNOW what is
correct when it comes to general housekeeping on a newsgroup and Usenet
etiquette in particular. I will not tolerate anyone playing around with my
posts. Play around with your own posts all you want.
I treat others the way I would want to be treated and I fully expect that
bare minimum in return from all others. Play around with my posts and I will
play around with you in a very personal manner. Wayne Leggett and Jeff
Grippe (your would-be moderators) have hereby been warned.

PS. For all the blockheads that exist on this group, this message is NOT
off-topic. It is on-topic as are all housekeeping types of messages. Any
responses to the above message had better be posted to this thread and not
some other thread labeled "off-topic" or else all hell is going to break
lose.
PS2. You want to discuss what to do about Iran? Well, that would be
off-topic and I would label it as such in the subject heading. Housekeeping
topics are on-topic as can be and do not need to be labeled anything -
period!
