Hi I have nearly finished building a swb recumbent based on a 20" wheel mtb. This was to suit a child about 8 years old, the front forks are a little soft (probably made to suit a childs weight) is there any way to stiffen them up a bit by stripping them down and replacing or packing the springs. thanks Gary

You might also see if the mfr has a web site with some technical info and a spring kit. ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Unrestricted-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! >100,000 Newsgroups ---= East/West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---

Hi Thanks for the reply, unfortunately it just appears to be a cheap run of the mill suspension fork. I will have to get a long socket extension bar to split them and have a look. later Gary "oldslowbenter" <no@publicemailaccepted > wrote in message news:1132674394_21933@spool6-east.superfeed.net... > > "geepeetee" <geepeetee@gazeta.pl> wrote in message > news:dlqpav$b3d$1@inews.gazeta.pl... >> Hi >> >> I have nearly finished building a swb recumbent based on a 20" wheel mtb. >> This was to suit a child about 8 years old, the front forks are a little >> soft (probably made to suit a childs weight) is there any way to stiffen >> them up a bit by stripping them down and replacing or packing the >> springs. >> >> thanks >> >> Gary >> >> > Someone might have the info you need, but you have to tell us the kind of > fork you have.
