Thanks all. jim beam I'm thinking of this because I like my old 80's era columbus bike, but it's heavy, and missing lots of paint now. While I have no experience riding aluminum (or anything other than steel actually), I like the way the steel bike rides and figure this might be a way to get that with a little less weight.

I don't know, I think it's actually rather pretty. If I were lighter and faster, I'd consider getting one myself. Kind of reminds me of a Merlin Cielo--the Cielo has carbon fiber frame tubes in Ti lugs. -- Luigi de Guzman http://ouij.livejournal.com

It would have limited use as a commuting / touring bike, but with a steel frame it would be too heavy to be a good racer.
