Subject: Bottom Bracket, and Headset for a Schwinn Sports Tourer
I have a bare 1975 Schwinn Sports Tourer frame, and I need to buy a
bottom bracket and headset for it. Can anyone give me an idea of what
I need to buy?

I'd like to use the Surly 1x1 fork (http://www.surlybikes.com/forks/
1x1_pop.html). Any pointers about where to measure the bores?

I'm going to have a single chainring, but I haven't bought a crank yet
either. I'm open to suggestions.

Either 30.0mm (JIS) or 30.2mm (ISO) and may be cut to a clean ISO in any
event at any competent LBS or frame shop.

Any track crank with its matching BSC BB. Records are really nice,
Sugino are 1/4 the price, many in between.

Headset is BSC. Likely JIS but possibly ISO bores, need to measure that,
especially if the fork's changed or if it has a not-Campagnolo in it
now. When you have the headset installed, you should be able to watch
Campagnolo gauges on your frame/fork at any competent LBS.

BB thread matches frame: Yours is BSC
Spindle matches crank: Track? Double? Triple? Splined (old/new/ISIS?) ??
