Subject: Campy Cartridge BB For Victory Cranks
|
Is there a Campy 110mm symmetrical 70mm Italian threaded Cartridge BB that will work with a Victory crankset? I recently picked up a 1988 vintage Bianchi that looked great until I started digging in to it. The BB looks like someone rode it in the surf and put it away wet. It would barely turn because the bearings were rusted to the cups and spindle. Since I have to replace the BB I'd rather get a sealed bearing cartridge and I didn't want to spend the money for a Phil BB on this bike. Chas.

Yes, the Centaur or AC-H will both work even tho the Victory/Triomphe called for a 109mm spindle. 111mm will work fine. > > I recently picked up a 1988 vintage Bianchi that looked great until I > started digging in to it. > > The BB looks like someone rode it in the surf and put it away wet. I've used a modern Campy AC-H 111mm with a C-Record crankset of a similar vintage. I've got a new in box 2006 SC-S (steel cups, solid spindle) Campy 111mm bb with ITA threads sitting here in front of me. It could use a good home. Joseph
