Subject: Death to Ed Dolan - or at least his trolling

Time to start ignoring this troll, folks. He doesn't post anything he believes in, he just posts to troll. If you want to argue politics in these groups (a debatable point itself) please argue with someone who actually posts their beliefs. If we all ignore Mr Dolan, he will eventually have to troll elsewhere.

Some pro boxers talk about themselves in the third person. Is "the great" Ed's mom's last name. Is it a given name? Is it an honorary title given to ed for some great accomplishment. Im an trying to learn more about ed and his great accomplishments.

Here on these cycling newsgroups I am dealing mostly with morons, idiots and imbeciles (some exceptions). Hence, my Greatness. By the way, you need never fear Ed Dolan the Great, but woe betide you if you ever rile Saint Edward the Great. He is most fearsome and even Ed Dolan the Great fears Saint Edward the Great. If > you want to argue politics in these groups (a debatable point itself) > please argue with someone who actually posts their beliefs. I will often play the Devil's advocate from time to time, but what is wrong with that if it brings out the best in someone else. I am willing to listen to anyone if they make sense and argue intelligently. I think it does not matter in the slightest what we as anonymous posters actually believe. The give and take of argument is everything. Just ask Mr. Sherman of ARBR if this is not so. > If we all ignore Mr Dolan, he will eventually have to troll elsewhere. It is not possible to ignore me because of two factors, my style and my intellect. Others will always respond to my messages because I will make sure of that by crafting them in an interesting way and saying things that strike home. ARBR has benefited from my messages for years, but it is such a small group that I am wasted there. So I have decided to broaden my presence somewhat by including a couple of other cycling groups. Still Me should relax and enjoy me while I am here. These cycling newsgroups are fortunate indeed to have someone like me here to honor them with my presence. Do you really want to be reduced to just the nuts and bolts of bicycles? Regards, Ed Dolan the Great - Minnesota aka Saint Edward the Great - Order of the Perpetual Sorrows - Minnesota

Yes, along with a few others. I'm sure Ed will troll his most productive baits now in an attempt to engage someone. Hopefully all here have the wherewithal to just totally ignore him. Admittedly, I will only attract those who are above average and wish to be intellectually engaged. Morons, idiots and imbeciles need not apply. Gotbent is right in that it will never work. My Greatness will prevent it as always. But poor Gotbent thinks that anything posted to these newsgroups not related to cycling is "delusional and pointless" when the exact opposite is the case. It is only the Great Ed Dolan who keeps these cycling groups at all interesting. Without him here, these newsgroups would be dead to all but the brain dead like Gotbent. Yea, he wants you post deadly dull messages on cycling topics so he does not have to engage his brain. But as long as I am here, you will have recourse to intellectual topics. > I try to stay away from OT, cross-posted threads, but admit to peeking in > once in a while and then I use the 'catch-up' option and mark the whole > newsgroup as 'read'. Aye, no one can resist the Great Ed Dolan. But hey, speaking of OT and cross-posted threads, I am wondering if I should involve the British and the Australian cycling groups in our discussions. They are all idiots of course, but the more the merrier. Let me know what you think before I involve them as once I do there is no turning back. I will not involve the social and mountain biking newsgroups because they are totally dominated by one Mike Vandeman and they revolve around only one subject - how cretinous mountain bikers desecrate hiking trails by riding their abominable bikes on them.
